ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival

  • Airport pick up and check in
  • City orientation tour
  • Roam the patio of the famous Hotel Nacional and enjoy a Mojito on us!
  • Welcome dinner at a top paladar (private restaurants)

Day 2: Havana

  • Walking architectural tour of Old Havana (a UNESCO World Heritage site) accompanied by an architecture historian
  • Lunch in Old Havana
  • Learn to salsa like a hot-stepping local
  • Travel to the world of Hemingway. Including “Finca Vigia” – his former house from where he wrote "The Old Man and the Sea"

Day 3: Havana to Viñales Valley, Pinar Del Rio

  • Journey to Viñales valley – “The Garden of Cuba.”
    • Discover how the world famous Cuban cigar is made
    • Take a horseback ride through the Viñales Valley
  •  Lunch at a traditional Cuban grill perched on a stunning hillside overlooking the Valley
  • Journey back to Havana on time to keep dinner plans and enjoy the night 

Day 4: Havana - A day at the beach

  • No trip to the Caribbean is complete without a beach outing; so experience the white sand, turquoise waters of the Eastern Habana beaches (the ones that Habaneros frequent)
  • Lunch can be a picnic on the beach, if you choose

Day 5: Havana

  • Cuban Art Safari
    • Visit the Contemporary Cuban art collection of the National Fine Arts museum accompanied by an art curator  
    • Visit a legendary printing workshop in Old Havana that incubated multiple generations of Cuban artists - including names like Portocarrero, Mendive, Choco and Tomas Sanchez that are represented in prestigious international collections
    • Discover the work of two emerging Cuban artists and visit their studios
  • Lunch at a beautiful private restaurant with views of the ocean
    • Visit a private art gallery
  • Unscheduled afternoon time - opportunity to arrange shopping time for Cuban crafts, antiques, souvenirs

Day 6: Havana

  • Bicycle tour of Havana - an opportunity to discover the nooks and crannies of the city and look at it from a different perspective
  • Lunch at a top paladar
  • Unscheduled afternoon to accommodate last minute requests
  • Dine at a top paladar to take in the learning and experiences of your Cuba journey 

Day 7: Departure

  • At leisure, until it is time to travel to the airport
  • We are missing you already, but we know we’ll see you again
